Need any corrections: the last time I use them was last week

I have a hammer, a paintbrush, a mop, and an axe. I bought them at the hardware store. I use the mop when I have to clean the room and the paintbrush when I have to paint the walls. The last time I use them was the last week, it was for cleaning and painting the house.

The last time I used them was the last week, for cleaning and painting the house.

Without the omission, would it be :The last time I used them was last week, it was for cleaning and painting the house OR The last time I used them was last week, they were for cleaning and painting the house.

They.

The last time I used them was last week. They were for cleaning and painting the house.

This still sounds a little unnatural to me. If I had to make them separate sentences, I would write

The last time I used them was last week. I used them for cleaning and painting the house.

So it is equal if not a bit better to write it as: The last time I used them was last week, (it was) to clean and paint the house.

chiachenThe last time I used them was last week, (it was) to clean and paint the house.
That works, too.

May I conclude from your answers. You approve only these: 1. I used them last week, for cleaning and painting the house. 2. I used them last week, to clean and paint the house. 3. The last time I used them was last week. I used them for cleaning and painting. Or, The last time I used them was last week; I use them to clean and paint the house.

Yes, all

But it is still a correct/sound usage with the commas?

I can't say they're incorrect with commas, but I don't recommend them.
