Need an idiom

Hi. I am looking for a word or an idiom describing a situation in which someone does sth to frighten others or to make an impression so no one else dares to do similar thing.

For instance when students are noisy, the teacher kicks one of the students out so other students do not dare to make any noise.

The context can be as follows:

Ex. Our teacher just kicked me out as/to/for . . . . . . . . .

I hope I was able to convey what I mean.

I greatly appreciate if you would tell any words or idioms that come to your mind.

Thanks

Thanks, that was a nice one.

I am looking for such a thing in English.

In Persian we say the teacher kicked me out of the class to get the venom of eye.

I wonder if we have similar idioms or words in English.

Hi

You ask:

In a London-based gangster film, it is known as "The famous Archie slap"

It is more humourous than violent, but I must leave you to google the reference, if you wish
