Need advice with sentence, please.

Hallo.

I'm trying to come up with a better sentence than "Between 1983-1991 band members come and go"

I'm writing in a present tense as a narrator.

I want to change the "come and go" part to something more formal. The sentence should be short.

Any advice is appreciated! Thank You!
