Hi, I am having a hard time finding a word that's to my liking. Problem is, I want to be creative but not so creative that no one's ever heard the word used in such a way. The part of the sentence I'm working on is "companies long famous for their …"
I don't want "famous" because it isn't entirely a positive thing for which they're so supposedly famous (not that fame is itself always positive). I don't want "known" as it strikes me as too plain. And I don't want "infamous" as neither is the action so completely horrible as to warrant an "infamous" in my opinion. And I don't want "reputed" as I tried to research it and am having a difficult time finding "long reputed for …" strung together very many times in the English language—Idk why not?
But anyway, I'd very much appreciate as many applicable words as you have ![]()
