Hi guys
could anyone tell me what's the word for the verb " when you say sth over and over agian to yourself and little by little it becomes a belief for you? or let me give you an example: you don't feel very well but you say to yourself I'm good, I'm just fine. and after telling it over and over, you feel that you are really okay and feel good. what's the word for it?

Hello, freewill-- and welcome to English Forums! I'm sorry that I can't think of a specific word, but I would probably use 'convince oneself': I've finally convinced myself that I feel OK. Maybe another member has a better idea.

I would describe the process as "the power of positive thinking" or "mind over matter".

I don't have a verb for you, but these are called "affirmations".

self delusion: the act of making yourself believe sth that you know is not true. you make sth happen by saying it over and over, let me tell you a story:
once a patient went to a doctor,he wasn't reallt sick, but becasue he thought he was sick, he was feeling very bad, the doctor examined him and understood the patient was okay but he knew it wouldn't help him to get rid of those feeling by

That doesn't seem like the original situation you presented, free.will. Your original was about a person who gradually believed what he convinced himself was true, even though it wasn't true. In your doctor tale, you have a person who convinces another person that he is well even though that other person doesn't believe it.

I don't have a word for that, but the water is a placebo
