Need a quick grammar check here

I agree that living in a country whose most of the people don’t speak your language and that you have to speak their language to fare well could be painful and it might make your social life worse than when you were in the country where you can communicate well. However, the case would usually be different for every individual. Those who are fast learners or simply charismatic by nature should have little to no problem in such situation. On the other hand, those who are not known for either their brilliance nor their charisma would usually find such situation to be challenging.

I have personally been in a similar situation where most people don’t speak my language. I felt really terrible, I often thought ill of what they might be talking about, especially when they’re chumming around with each other while occasionally looked my way. That kind of situation usually gets me really depressed and withdrawn because I think I have never been good at adapting to a new society. I usually got approached first and then I usually had to let my feeling decide whether they’re good enough to befriend, otherwise it usually won't work.

Lucky for me there were activities that required people to work together on a problem therefore I finally got some friends. Now I think a solution can be made from my experience and that solution is clearly social activities although it’s not very practical as it would require people who are willing to be the mediator.

Please help correct the above text if you find any errors and which IELTS band score do you think fits this text?

Thanks in advance!
