Need a phrase

hi.

what phrases do we use after somebody has done a job that is tiring.

I would say things like

1. well done

2. nice job

3. good job

4. more power to your elbow

For instance, when your roommate comes home and you know he has had a tiring day. what would you say to him.

In persian we say don't be tired which means I hope you are not tired.

I would be grateful if you could say what is the right phrase for the situation I described.

Thank you very much for your time and help

I've never heard #4. It sounds odd. The others are fine at the workplace but do not apply to the situation you describe.

Thanks. I think you must be tired will do. what about saying hard job buddy. want a beer?

I also think, the use of more power to your elbow is erroneous in that context.

The definition for more power to your elbow is available at the following URL address.

Yes, 'more power to your elbow' seems inappropriate here.

Hard job, buddy? Want a beer?– Note the '?'.

I'd go instead with

1) Tired?

2) Long day?

or 3) How was your day?
