I've learned that we don't use the definite article "the" before the word nature. This morning I came across this sentence: "Do not throw trash in the nature". Is it possible? Is it correct to drop the definite article in this sentence?
Thanks!

It is not possible, and the sentence has further problems. It should read, for instance: Do not dispose of trash outdoors .
