lucas21c Tom has to talk with Ahn in order that he gets some advice from her and then decides a topic of the next week presentation. I see you are having trouble with using " in order " in a sentence. You are trying to pack too much into a sentence.

1. How about "He married another woman (that he doesn't love) in order that he pleased Ann (who is his really beloved one)?" That is, does "He married another woman in order that he pleased Ann" sound natural?

2. If my original sentence sounds unclear, could you tell me how does it can be interpreted in another way? I can't understand why it sounds unclear...

"In order that" strikes me as very formal and stilted. "In order to" would be infinitely better.

He married another woman in order to please Ann.

And this sounds even better:

He married another woman just to please Ann.
