Natural disaster-flood.

Hello everyone, I am Lucy and now I will tell you about a natural disaster that is a flood; more specifically, its causes and effects of social life.There are many causes of a flood but the following are mainly:

The first is a flood caused by storms and heavy rain. Storms and heavy rains cause the water of rivers and lakes to rise beyond their capacity to flood the lowlands.

The second is flooding due to global climate change. Global climate change has upset the climate and weather, causing heavy storms, and rapid ice causing high tides to inundate a large area.

The third is flooded due to deforestation and urbanization.Plants can hold water, the soil can absorb it. However, deforestation has significantly reduced the number of trees, the soil surface is narrowed due to concreting has increased water levels downstream.All of the above not only created widespread flooding but also had enormous effects.The main impacts of flooding include loss of lives, serious injuries, and damage to buildings and other structures, including bridges, drainage systems, roads and canals.Floods also frequently damage power transmission systems and sometimes generate electricity, which then causes explosive effects. This includes drinking water treatment and water supply, which can lead to drinking water loss or serious water pollution. Lack of clean water combined with human wastewater in floodwaters increases the risk of waterborne diseases, which can include typhoid, cholera, and many more.

Floodwaters often enter agricultural land, causing saltwater intrusion, damaging crops, and can lead to food shortages for both humans and animals.

Economic difficulties due to a temporary decrease in tourism, reconstruction costs and lack of food lead to price increases.

Such large damages require a quick, positive remedy and the cooperation of the authorities and the people to overcome the effects.
