Would you use the words 'turn onto'? How would you have said this yourself?

I was turned onto this actress while watching a movie in which she played alongside Will Smith. I had never seen before that.

Thanks

I would probably say something like I first noticed her... or I became a fan... or I started paying attention to her... or she came on to my radar... but I wouldn't rule out saying I was first turned on to her...

I spell that "turned on to". It's the same "turn on" as in "turn on the light."

And what about "I happened to notice this actress..."?

Enoon, would you have said the original sentence with turn on to? Is it natural to you?
