Nationality

Hi,

I am having a tough time about the use of articles before nationalities. Are the following sentences correct?

1. A: I went to a Korean wedding yesterday. B: Who was Korean, the bride or groom?

2. Was the bride Korean?

Thanks,

MG.

Hi,

Yes, all OK.

You could also say 'Was the bride a Korean?'

I tried to figure out recently why it's okay to say "He's a Canadian" but not "He's a French." The only thing that occurred to me, as odd as this sounds, is an N ending that comes from a vowel-ending country.

He's from Canada. He's a Canadian.
He's from America. He's an American.
He's from Armenia. He's an Armenian
He's from Nigeria. He's a Nigerian.

Not:
He

On the same basis, would this be correct?

B: Who was a Korean, the bride or groom?
