National day

There are many races in Singapore such as Chinese, Malays, Indians and so on. Although we are different races, we celebrate National Day together annually. It is on the 9th of August every year.
On National Day, it has / there has many performances. The pupils and adults can rest on that dsay because it is a holiday. We can watch the match past and parade which are performed by the school bands. The spectators cheer happily by the roadside.
The children also perform on that day. They dance gracefully while the choir sing / sings on the stage. Everyone has an enjoyable time during National Day.
