Narrative story - PLEASE CHECK

Hello,
Could you check my narrative from some grammar mistakes and some other? Thx in advance

Another wail, horrifying and petrifying sound, was heard in the distance. Matthew, 19 years old boy, was coming home along the beach from his friend’s birthday party and on his way home he heard a strange, unusual moan. It was a beautiful, cloudless summer sky at night with a bright moon so he could have seen the way and heard that mysterious wail. On the beach, near lifeguard tower number 13, he saw a girl who was lying on the sand and crying. Her name was Margaret. She was a young girl, probably 17 years old, with long curly blond hair and stunning blue eyes.

A few hours ealier, Margaret was walking alone along the beach. She used to do it at least once a week. The sun had never looked as beautiful as it did that day, setting over ocean horizon. Everything seemed to be as usual calm. Unfortunately it wasn’t. It was getting darker and darker. Suddenly, two men came near to her, waving guns and shouting at her in a language she couldn’t understand. They wanted money and a mobile phone. She was shouting “Help me!” and trying to run away but she couldn’t and nobody could hear her. They catched Margaret strongly and wanted to rob her. She thought that it was a nightmare, but it wasn’t. The girl didn’t have any mobile phone and money so they decided to beat her. They broke her leg and suddenly Margaret fainted. Two thieves got frightened and escaped.

Margaret was lying on the beach for 2 hours. When she woke up, she heard that someone is walking. She muttered: “I need help”, but it wasn’t clear so she started to cry. Then Matthew appeared and decided to help that girl. He was shocked when he saw her first time. She looked really bad. She was cold and had goose pimples on her skin after what she had experienced. Matthew covered her body with his jacket. He called the police and ambulance and Margaret was taken to JP II Hospital.

In the hospital two police officers interviewed Margaret and Matthew. The girl was shocked and felt mentally bad. What is more, her leg was broken in two places. She stayed at hospital for one week. During this time Matt was visiting her very often and they liked each other.

That night, police captured those two criminals who attacked Margaret and brought them to justice. They were Canadian students, who were on holidays in United States. Now, both are sentenced eight years in prison.

Margaret got better, but she still remember that horrible day as she was attacked. She cannot understand why people are so cruel. Now she is sitting with Matt at night on the beach feeling save and happy trying to forget whole this event.
