Thank you so much for your respond....If I say; I narrate my child a story before I tuck her up, is this correct?

A bit unusual in structure, cathy. Try this:

I narrate a story for my child before I tuck her up.

However, 'narrate' is a higher register than is called for in your utterance. 'Tell' would be much more natural.

When Mitchel heard it, he stood in disbelief, as he found his father statement was so unpalatable.

1: I don't know what you mean by 'father statement'.

2: In that sentence, 'unpalatable' could mean almost anything (long? brief? discursive? unbelievable? false? wonderful?). The context in your sentence does not reveal your understanding of the word.

1. What I mean by "father statement"; an explanation about a certain thing which Mitchel got from his father.

2. What I mean by "Unpalatable"; the explanation was difficult for Mitchel to accept because it's unbelievable.

Is my understanding about the word 'unpalatable' acceptable?
