Names required for different parts of a (seat) belt



Hi

I want to know the names of these parts. One part is pushed/inserted into the other -- could you please tell me the names of both?

I never have to speak of these parts. My first thought is that I might say
eg I can't get the tongue into the holder..
But I usually just say eg I can't get my seat-belt done up.

My guess is that the technical term for the holder is th

For many such pairs we insert a 'tab' into a 'slot', but I don't guarantee that this is the correct terminology for seat belts!
