Thanks Clive,

Ive heard "call people out" and "Call out names" before...

So was my sentence used incorrectly or sounded weird?

Thanks!

Hi,

'Call out names' commonly means to summon people or get their attention.

eg Every morning, our teacher calls out names to find out who is present and who is absent.
