I read a book which gave a name to the literary device where bad grammar is acceptable for the sake of style. For instance, "I didn't do nothing," would generally be considered a double negative and, therefore, poor writing. However, using this literary device, it is perfectly acceptable. Does anyone know the name of this term and/or the name of the book describing it? Thanks
