Name of screw hole

What do you call in English a screw hole whose shape is like a snowman,
a combination of two holes; one is smaller than the size of screw and
the other is bigger than the size of screw?

Thank you in advance for your help.

I don't know about this 'shape of a snowman' but a scewhole that is prepared with a smaller diameter shaft where the ***** will enter and bind and then on top there is a wider diameter part where the head will enter and be below or the same level of the surface is called - a countersunk hole

Thank you, Alan. But I am sorry that I am not sure if a countersunk hole is the name of the ***** hole I am asking.

I mean, a ***** head is entered from one hole bigger than the ***** head, and is horizontally slid to the other hole that is smaller than the ***** head so that an object with the ***** (or the hole) does not come off.

If the ***** hole I am asking

The idea of two holes horizontally side by side as you describe now are not countersunk, you're right. However though I now understand what you mean, I don't know the name of this type of arrangement.

I can suggest 'horizontally offset' but it's a term out of my head not from experience.

For my part, I'm grateful even for "countersunk hole". I'd often wondered.

Hi

A countersunk hole is the same hole but chamfered at 45 degrees usually to give a ***** a " flush" finish.

The type of hole i think you mean is called a "keyhole slot" it is usually done on a router ,and apart from keyholes it is also used on many hanging products, the shelf in the link below can be fitted with no unsightly screws on view using the keyhole slot ( bottom pi
