What would one call a manuscript that underwent several revisions and is now ready to go to print pending one final round of review? It is not a draft -- I think that word would indicate the manuscript to be at a much earlier stage of writing than it actually is. Could it be a preprint? However, it should be noted that the manuscript has not yet been typset and, therefore, is not ready to be directly published in its current form.

Thanks, but the thing is that I was told to avoid the word draft. It concerns the final version of my Ph.D. thesis that is to be sent to the committee for approval. I was just curious if there exsists a specific word for this.
