Name of a game

When i was around 12 i played a game on PC where u could choose between a girl wizard and a old man wizard and as u played u were a professor at a university where everyone respects and admires you. You also had a book that would allow you to see your transformations so far (i only gained blades instead of hands)... You could only be in the uni for daytime but when night falls you're allowed to go to the woods and slay giant spiders or scorpions and other bugs.. by defeating them u gain exp and as you improve you transform.. when you die your char is on a mini screen with both arms and legs cut off and shaking and vibrating while blood pours out of neck and cut off parts so you have to play a new game to get the image out of your head. If you die you start all over again.. oh and it was in 3D good graphics and addictive Emotion: smile please help ^^;
