name change

Could somebody make this as natural as possible?

The phone was in my Wife's name but as you may be able to see from the receipt of the phone, we made a name change to change it to my name.

I think AG wants the comma after but removed.

That one’s optional. With it, the subordinate clause is marked as parenthetical, whereas without it it’s introductory. The comma before but is mandatory either way.

"mandatory" is a very strong word. I think that the only time a comma can truly be said to be mandatory is when it is essential for expressing the correct meaning.
