NAIL/CLAW

Hello everyone,

Regarding machine parts, in a pneumatic scheme

can I use nail or claw ?

I 'm referring to fastening devices but I don't know whether these two words are appropriate terms.

Thank you

Hi, What kind of machine, for example? Can you find a picture of it? Machine parts are not commonly fastened with nails.

Hi,

Machines are commonly fastened together with screws, bolts, rivets.

What makes you ask about 'claws'?

Hi tania,

You can even simply use "Fasteners" to avoid confusions.

Sorry now I understand the operation.

Let's see....it's a mechanical arm that takes an object. This arm stackes crates.

Does it make sense?

Hi,

The 'hand' on a mechanical arm is often referred to as 'a claw'.

But it's not a fastener.
