'Myself' vs. 'Me'
I've studied this all day, and I'm hoping I've got every example below correct with "me/my/himself/herself included."
I'm thinking that the only time we use "myself included/including myself" is when the reference is to the word "I." That said, are all examples 100 percent grammatically correct below? If all are correct, are the alternative wordings in blue font correct as well? The examples in green font, I'm assuming, are correct as well. Thank you!
1. I gave everybody, including myself, a raise.
2. I gave everybody, myself included, a raise.
3. He gave everybody, including me, a raise.
4. They thought, me included (alternatively, 'including me'), that he was an idiot! (Not 'myself included'.)
5. They thought, including me, that he was an idiot. (Not 'including myself'.)
6. He felt that everybody, including himself (alternatively, 'himself included'), was lucky. (Not 'including him'.)
7. She felt that everybody, including herself (alternatively, 'herself included') was lucky. (Not 'including her'.)
8. Everyone was disheartened, including me (alternatively, 'me included') regarding his lack of compassion.

"everyone" and "everybody" can include "me", but not "they", so all are correct except 4 and 5. It should be "We thought, including me, that ....", but then "we" already includes "me", so an "including" phrase emphasizes rather than adds new information.

Oh, I get it! "Everyone" and "Everybody" are singular; "they" is plural.
