Myself

0 when is it appropriate to use "myself" instead of "me"? ex: "I can help myself"...."Will you help me/myself?" I think myself sounds retarded anytime anyone uses it in a group of three ("all three of us went to the store: Mary, Chelsea, and myself.") So are there rules? In my opinion, it should only be used when I'm talking about myself and I'm the only one in the sentence, does that make sense? 0-
