Books and practical experince are important to play role in educational process of an individual. Books are the foundation of knowledge, and act in situation where the learning is imprctical or impossible.
Books are one kind of education to present abstract concept. Take math, for instance, mathmtics provides princples and formulas for the student, and problems in which can be solved by the formulas and princpales that have been taught. History, is another kind of subject that can learn by books, people learn about wars and peace treaties without attending events that happened a thousands of years ago .
It is true, however, certain subjects required phiscal ability and dexterity . As an example, medical student, to learn a surgery, a student needs to see another expert doctor applying on a dead body to see where are the organs are located and learn the manual require skills. It is smilier to a carpenters; they read books on how to construct house but they can not do the work without a hammer or saw. They learn on the job.
what to determine which is better, depends on several criteria. Subjects matter, matrieal, or skill to be learned. Some people read and absorb vast informations, while other people learn by making mistakes . In most cases, however, a combination of the two approaches works best.
