I'd be really happy if anyone could have a look at my little essay. It's not that long so it won't take ages to quickly go through it.
Thanks in advance!
The new Rita
The new Rita has changed a lot and above all she developed herself.
She has become more self – confident and does not depend on Frank anymore (p. 77 ll. 2-4). Even if she is now standardized in her judgement in literal terms, she expressed her independance by writing a proper answer and not the answer Frank wanted to her to give.
Furthermore she acquired experience of life, since she realizes the mistakes she did. She admits “[she] was so hungry“ and “[she] wanted it all so much that [she] didn’t want it to be questioned.” (p. 76 ll. 29,30) Rita learnt that literary criticism is not only about “quotes an’ empty phrases” (p. 76 l. 28) but as well about yourself and what you make of it.
Rita’s most valuable change in life is her achieved ability to choose freely between several possibilities, because her doing was previously dominated by Denny or even by the whole working class in a way. As she states several times, “[she has] a choice” (p.77 l. 6) now. It is entirely up to her, whether she wants to have a baby or where she is going to spend christmas, it is only her decision (p. 77 ll. 27,28).

Thank you Savvysavz! Especially the first introductory sentence was quite hard, because I didn't know how to express what you called "become more mature".
