My resignation from AUE

I hereby tender my resignation, effective immediately, from this group. I will not be back this time, and I will not be lurking either.
I would like to thank Rey for opening my eyes in so many ways; Rey, you're just about the only person left on this group whom I still respect. I personally wish you all the very best, Rey.
The rest of you, well, you've been saying I turned nasty as if I hadn't been provoked at all. The way I was treated here is something that turned me into somebody I didn't like either, and that's my main reason for leaving.
I hope you all enjoy your ongoing investigation into my so-called 'true' identity; I at least have the satisfaction of knowing that I never lied about a thing here and that you will all be wasting your time.
I wish I were able to conclude by saying that I will miss this group, but I won't miss it at all. I'm relieved to be rid of it and, since most of you will be relieved that I've finally left, everyone should be happy.

[nq:1]I hereby tender my resignation, effective immediately, from this group. [/nq] Verily, sweet maid, thou doth pout and flounce most prettily. I bet you're still lurking just to see the responses.

Is this something you can resign from? I think it has to be something you join first to be able to resign later.
Next time you resign, call it "withdraw". It think it is more appropriate.

Well who the **** are you? I never even noticed that you ever posted anything here.
Are you posting to the newsgroup you think you're posting to?

I only became aware of your existence through an earlier announcement that you were leaving.

I find nothing wrong with wishing someone good luck. We all need it.

Well, young Joey, you probably remember that I attack only those who attacked me first and that I hammer only the usual assortment of annoying ********, non-clinical

} BTW, that's a novel expression for me. Care to paraphrase it or } explain what that means?
You serious? The "all" is just an intensive; "his ***" is just metonymy of synecdoche or something for "him"; and "ghetto" is "verbally aggressive". Or was this a test for Young Joey? Did I spoil it?
