my possesive mess

Question

If I'm saying something like ¨one of the advantages of being member of a big family is that everytime one of us has a problem everyone brings/provides[¿his/her?] or [¿their?] help and no problems can't be solved¨.
I mean, everyone is considered to be third person of singular and what it looks better to say is the third plural person possesive, since I cannot say her or his bcause families are not only composed of men or women.

The characters in red do not exist in English, so your writing would look better without them.

The indefinite pronouns (everyone, someone, no one, etc.) may be matched with they, their, and them regardless of considerations of singular and plural. I have heard these forms called "forms of singular they".

I see that nobody brought their pencils to class today.
Everyone thinks they're better than everybody else.
Someone wanted to borrow one of my books, but I didn't know them, so I said "no".

The recommendation used to be to use he, his, and him in these cases, but they, their, them is becoming more commonly used and accepted because it is gender-neutral.
