My piano "student"

For example, I teach someone judo or piano or basketball or cooking.
Is it OK to say he (or she) is my "student" ?

Hi, If we aren't talking about the fields of schools, universities, colleges,... then, a student (of something) is a person who is very interested in a particular subject. So it's ok to call them your students.
