I got asked to write a motivation letter about "why to study in Germany?" or "why Germany?".

Respected Sir/Madam,
I, [name], have completed my senior year in school in the United Arab Emirates and I intend to study medicine in Germany. There are many reasons that inspire me to study in Germany and in this letter I will shed light on the most important reasons.

German universities are well known all around the world by their excellence and quality of teaching as they provide a relaxing environment for students who wish to accomplish both study and research due to the intense efforts made by the universities themselves. This unique method of teaching attracts students like me to achieve their goals. Although, they offer a wide range of faculties that include Law, Engineering, Business and Medicine education as they are considered almost free due to their financial costs. The cost of living in Germany is another effective factor that encourages me to study in Germany since it can be kept low by students themselves. Besides, students are entitled to work 90 days per year by working part time with normally 8-10 euros per hour which is incredible for a student. One more thing that I like about studying in Germany is the language itself; the German language is the most common language in Europe, it is used by many European countries in business, studies and science in addition to travel and tourism. To me, learning a new language is essential not only to be used in education in foreign countries such as Germany but to know how people think and show respect to others. Nevertheless; Germany is becoming the most preferred country by foreign students as it is called the land of scholars and country of poets and thinkers. Plus, German is similar to English in many ways as they both belong to the same West Germanic language family and share plenty of words and phrases particularly in medical terms or vocabulary in addition to many other elements that foster me to study German.

Germany is a scenic country; there are a lot of places of interests such as forests. I have heard a lot about the nature in Germany and how interesting it is. Nature provides fresh air and can help maintaining an unpolluted environment to people living there, nature plays its part. One of the best-known places in Germany is the Black forest; it extends for around 160km which is a truly anonymous place to visit during a holiday or a weekend while studying in Germany.

Both transportation and food show how good a country is, from what I have heard from people who visited Germany that transportation is modern, easy and comfortable. Additionally, food in Germany such as German bread and pastries are the greatest.

Studying in Germany would be the most outstanding opportunity since it fulfills everyone’s expectations without any obstacles once the language is mastered.
