If I remember something correctly, I can say If my memory is 'correct', or 'if my memory serves me well.'
What if I memory is incorrect, what's the proper expression?
Dialogue like this:
A: You told me you're gonna show me the procedures on Wednesday, right?
B: No, it's on Thursday.
A: Oh, maybe my memory went wrong.
Is it correct to say my memory went wrong? Is there any other ways to say so?

I think of the "seems" as the speaker's downplaying his responsibility for having made the mistake, absolving himself from having committed this minor crime, so to speak.
