The most popular observation point in Moscow, the vast natural park, various amusements - all these and much more is Sparrow Hills. It is a hill on the right bank of the Moskva River and one of the highest points in Moscow with an altitude up to 220 m.
Great number of tourist excursions in Moscow starts from the observation platform of Sparrow Hills. And it is no mere chance. Sparrow Hills, also known as Vorobyevy Gory, are the best place to get a great panoramic view of Moscow. At any time of the day in front of you reveals spectacular scenery of the city. In sunny days, you can observe the whole city with all the architectural masterpieces. Moreover, it is the only point where it is possible to see all Stalin's Seven Sisters at once!
Apart from the observation platform, Sparrow Hills are also famous for the wonderful natural park, which spreads above the opposite bank of Moskva River. There are lots of paths and trails throughout the park. One of them is called "eco-path". Jogging or walking down the path, you will pass lakes, unique types of trees and bushes and, if you are lucky, you may even see a squirrel or a woodpecker.
One more outstanding feature of this magnificent place is its enormous ski slope. In wintertime there are held various competitions and contests on mountain and freestyle skiing. So, if you are keen on snowboarding or skiing, you are welcome to the incredible 100 meters high ski slopes!
