I'm a student and I would like to do a traineeship at the European Union. Therefore I have to write a letter of motivation. Would somebody like to correct it?
Thanks in advance
Elke
Dear Sir or Madam,
I would like to apply for a traineeship at the general secretariat of the council of the European Union.
I graduated this year as master in economic science at the University of Ghent, as main subject I chose international economics. At the University of Leuven I hope to enrich my knowledge with the postgraduate study international relations and conflict control. A traineeship at the European Union in September 2006 would be a perfect continuation and closure of my studies.
I believe following characteristics and knowledge make me a suitable candidate:
* very motivated (it is not an obligatory training period)
* familiar with statistical programs (e.g. SPSS, E-views)
* flexible
* always eager to learn
I hope this letter and added CV give a clear image. If you have any further questions you may always contact me.
Yours faithfully
