My Journey To America
Please correct the following sentences. Thank you.
My maiden trip to US, the ‘land of perfume’, happened in June, 2006. The purpose was to visit my daughter in LA. But, before emplaning for the country, I became a little nervous. For, raised up in closed and conservative atmospheres, and grown tying up to a restrictive cultural stake, I thought how the Americans belonging, as they were, to a no-holds-barred, permissive society- would interact with a browny Indian like me. My misconception about the deportments of the American people toward to their counterparts from lingered in my mind all through my journey.
