My home

- When I'm away from home / When I'm absent from home, they will look after my home.

- Why don't we use "my HOUSE" here?

You can use "my house". In fact, I use "house" more often than "home" in this context. When I'm away from my house, my neighbors look after it.

When I'm out of town, my neighbors look after my house.
I would not use "absent" in this context. Absent means you are not in a place when you normally should be there:

"absent from school"
"absent from work"
