My high school assisted me in contacting him

A year ago, I visited my old high school hoping to see Profe. But he had retired. My high school assisted me in contacting him.

I wonder if I could say "My high school helped me in contacting him" and "My high school assisted me to contact him." Thanks.

I agree that your version sounds perfect, but what about mine? I'd like to make sure if they are right or wrong.

Thanks, Jim.

But does "assisted me to contact ..." sound right?
