My head is full???

What do you say in English....if you feel really stressed?

I hear non-natives say: My head is full. That sounds odd.

Any thoughts?

If your head/mind is full, it can be near to bursting (metaphorically of course). A thing that is near to bursting, breaking, falling down, etc. is stressed/under stress.

My head is full of something is ok.

Just 'my head is full' is not.

That sounds quite odd to me.

"quite odd"

I'll second that.

Anyway, the o.p. asked What do you say ..., so I answered what I say. That doesn't mean others don't say other things. (No, I did not take it as 'impersonal you'.)

I don't know what I'm supposed to do when people keep stating that a certain expression sounds odd. There's a whole world of Englishes out there and in here. Do you expect to be familiar with every utterance?

<(No, I did not take it as 'impersonal you'.)>

But it could be.
