My going to bed

Hi,

“I guess that my or me going to bed early could be put down to all the hard studying I did today.”

Should I go for ‘my’ or ‘me’?

I know that people use both, but ‘my going’ is considered to be more on the formal side.

Is that correct?

Thank you.
