My first FIT Essay.. please help review
I sit here wondering to myself how can I describe my dreams in so few words, well I truly do believe I would make a perfect student at FIT for several reasons. I have had a calling for fashion since I was a child, watching what would draw people in. I have also been doing work study's since graduating high school to learn the most I can about the fashion world and what makes it turn. I have done internship's with creative design companies and have worked for a Marketing firm to gain real world experience. At the firm I would assist in creating new marketing paths for a number of local medical offices. I understand the connection and energy between the communications of groups.
I want to be able to go on and complete my BA with FIT so I can gain the most education possible to prepare myself for a real life career in the Advertising and Marketing field.
I am interested in Advertising and Marketing Communications for several reasons; the first is my love for being able to design and create a method that will reach out to consumers. I enjoy being able to research what new trends are coming and being able to apply that to real world methods to draw people's interests. I often find myself watching the way's people react to Commercials and print ads as well as how I, myself act.
I understand that business is constantly changing, creating new challenges and opportunities with consumers and thus one needs to be able to work with the way the word is and will be. I have a keen sense when it comes to understand what people are thinking and what makes people drive and this helps with my love of designing way to connect with them.
This is my dream not just something I want to do. I know I cannot spend life dreaming about this, I must take the steps to make it a reality and the steps I have taken thus far prove that I will do whatever it takes to realize my dream.
I know that a degree from FIT will not only give me credibility in my field, but will also provide me the knowledge base that I need
