My favorite movies

Hi,

I'm a new user here and an English learner. :-)
I have some questions and hope that someone can help me! Thank you!

1. "Science fiction & War action are my favorite movies."
How does this sentence sound? Is it acceptable and understandable?

2. How about this one, "science fiction & war action are my favorite types/kinds of movies" ?

3. In this sentence, "science fiction & war action movies are my favorite," do I need to use the plural form for the word "favorite"?
