My eyelids stick like glue to my eyes

Sometimes when I wake up in the morning, I feel my eyelids stick like glue to my eyes due to eye goo. It takes a while for me to open my eyes fully and see clearly.

Hi,

Does the above sound good, the bolded part in particular? Thanks.

I would suggest that your eyelids stick to each other, rather than to your eyes. When I was a child, we called the goo "sleep".

In fact, it's my upper eyelids that stick a bit to my eyes, not completely, and I don't know how to describe it by using the right word.

Thanks, Anon.

Btw, is it right to say, "I developed/got/had a pink eye the other day?"

Dear Angliholic,

About 6 months ago, when I would wake up from sleeping, my eyelids were
literally stuck to my eyeballs. Freaked me out. I've been reading blogs about
others with the same thing. I have never experienced dry eye before so I
was perplexed.
Long story short, When my babies had pink eye, or conjunctivitis the Pediatrician
