I chose to self-study TOEIC at home to save costs and have more flexibility with my schedule. You can refer to my small tips below for your own study process.
Different proficiency levels require different textbooks. Basic TOEIC grammar and vocabulary books aren't suitable if you're already at a 750+ level. Always choose textbooks that come with detailed answers and explanations so you can easily learn from your mistakes and make progress.
When practicing listening, opt for a good quality speaker. This helps you improve your listening skills, reaction time, and get used to standard pronunciation.
For Reading practice tests, I usually printed out multiple-choice answer sheets, just like the real exam, to get accustomed to the format. Getting familiar with the real test conditions helps you optimize your time during the actual exam.
Everyone needs a unique self-study roadmap . Build your own and stick to it persistently.
