Question

My pronunciation is bad and my English is worst. Please forgive me if I make any mistake or if I fail to express myself fully.

I want to say this at the start of a talk. Is it OK? Could anyone give me a few alternative sentences?

If you want to be fluent when speaking don't worry about the rules. Leave that for when you are reading, writing and listening. If you are worried about making mistakes keep your sentences short. Speaking is like riding a bicycle. If you wobble just make a correction and continue, don't think about the laws of motion.
