My Dear Uncle

Please correct the following sentence. Thank you.

'Funeral rites were done with all the reverence they deserved. Uncle was then cremated. I saw bellows of smoke rising from his pyre and travelling skyward. Those who saw me standing near the pyre with my fist clenched thought that I would cry my head off at least now. But, I did not."
