My Dear Mama

Would you please correct the following. Thank you.

Mama would talk less, but he was able to laugh at anything and everything with or without reasons. While he hung his umbrella on his shoulder, he also wore his laughter in his sleeves. But, it seemed grotesque, and people had smirk on their lips when he laughed at something during somber situations like funerals. “How could you laugh in such situations? Are you mad? What is it in a funeral to laugh at’?” my mother would snarl at him when she got upset with his untimely and out of place laughing. But, Mama didn’t stop laughing, he laughed through his life not giving a fig to what others thought about his laughter.

Did you know that "Mama" is an English word meaning "mother"? If this is fiction, you might change the character's name to avoid confusion. If it is about a real man named Mama, I guess your readers will just have to deal with it -- but it's going to be very confusing to English speakers!.
