I think "My current expected salary is US$1000" is correct. Anyway "is" is better instead "are".

Hi,

The new boss asked me 2 questions.

what is your current salary?

what is your expected salary?

So, I can't combine 2 answers into one as you suggested.

Could you please give me other suggestion?

thanks

If my assumption is correct, what you are trying to say is that you would like a same salary on your future job like what you are receiving on your current job.

You can say "My expected salary is as the same rate with my current job."

Hi,

None of these seem to me like natural things to say.

Not a teacher.

Or you could write it this way:

My current salary is $1,000, which I prefer for my expected salary.
