My car is the same year I was born

Let’s say we are in 2016

i know you can directly say 2016 but how would you phrase this correctly?

I bought a car from the same year that we are in.

My car is the same year that we are in.

How would you phrase this?

My car is the same year that I was born (in).

Thanks

For example:

"I bought a new car." (If it's new, then it goes without saying that it's the current year's model, in your example, a 2016 model.)

"It's a 1991 model. That's the year as I was born." (Here, it is 2016, and you're 25 years old.)
