My am ast Duchess

I am analyzing "My Last Duchess" by Robert Browning. My question is what is the main tone?

Some of my ideas characterize the duke as controlling, power hungry, jealous of his last duchess, obsessive possesiveness. I am not sure how to pinpoint the tone?

If it were real life, what tone of voice would be used if you said (or heard) the lines of this poem? Would the tone be sad, happy, agitated, excited, or something else? That might give you a clue to go on.
