Hello,
Is my sentence correct?
The author of the letter must have studied in the first floor, therefore, he saw few students in the first floor, since the majority of students preper to study in the upper floor to have access to a better view.

It's grammatical, but it's very awkward, and misspells "prefer," The use of "therefore" is probably not right. I'd use "floor, and therefore he saw" or "floor; therefore he saw"
